What is the best antivirus on the market today?

FAQ No Comments »

I urgently need a good Antivirus which is compatible with Windows XP and is fast in scanning documents. I also need an antivirus which can scan in DOS mode or when the computer is booting.

ANSWER: Right now AVG. Avast is okay as well as McAfee. Norton is not exactly the best, but they are the most popular due to publicity. Avast uses a lot of memory, so if you have enough use that. However, over all it would be AVG. You can research the product and see how well it does and how easy it is.)

Ed’s note: The free AVG version is pretty good for basic antivirus protection but it doesn’t protect you against the latest rootkit threats, phishing email scams, instant messaging and web surfing threats.

I have a computer running Windows Server 2003. I would like to put some sort of antivirus software on it, but I was just wondering what good antivirus software is available for Windows Server.

ANSWER: Bit Defender 9 Internet Security is the best antivirus solution. My main hobby is antivirus testing and I have proved that Bit Defender is the best antivirus. There are both free and paid versions of Bit Defender. It is a award winning antivirus product. It is very easy to update because the size of updates are less and new virus signatures are released every half an hour.)
